SWA Annual Fund
The SWA Annual Fund is the unrestricted financial home of all fundraising efforts and donations for Southern Wake Academy. Our voluntary gifts come from SWA families, teachers, administrators, staff, board of directors, alumnae, members of the community, and Friends of SWA. In addition to securing donations from our closest constituents, the Office of Development is responsible for cultivating relationships with outside funders, including investors from our community, foundations, and corporations to seed specific projects, and pay for entire programs that will have an immediate and direct impact on our students and their teachers.
A gift to the SWA Annual Fund sends a powerful message that all of us believe in the mission and vision of our school. Gifts to the SWA Annual Fund will support the full range of educational experiences, and impact the people, programs, and property of Southern Wake Academy.
Our goal is to achieve 100% participation from our entire school-wide community as this leads to favorable support from foundations and corporations. These types of organizations will view our giving participation as proof of how much we support our school before they are willing to invest in our educational priorities. A gift of any amount is most appreciated!
On behalf of our administration and board of directors, the Office of Development is deeply grateful to our current donors who have made SWA a philanthropic priority. This affirmation of confidence and trust in the opportunities afforded students by a Southern Wake Academy education supports a legacy which follows to benefit the communities they will serve.
Your gift to the SWA Annual Fund is an investment into our top priorities for our students and their teachers:
Gifts to the SWA Annual Fund are identified by the school through a strategic planning process lead by the Principal, Senior Advisor, and our Board of Directors. These unrestricted funds help provide equipment and educational services for our students and their teachers.
As our Development Program matures through community presence, investor cultivation, and stronger ties with our constituents, the support and pledges will follow. As we continue to build our new
Culture of Philanthropy, gifts from the community will fill the gap to ensure the exceptional quality of education each child receives.
Southern Wake Academy is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization. Our IRS designation as a nonprofit organization, allows every donation to be a charitable gift, and is tax deductible to the maximum extent of the law.
